Ferragudo Algarve

Across the river Arade, you can look through the living room and bedroom  balcony to the village of Ferragudo Algarve.A wonderfully rustic village that has retained much of its originality. A fishing village with many small fishing boats in the tidal harbor. And with a multitude of fish restaurants along the boulevard. The village is built against the hill. From the church square you have a magnificent view of the river Arade, the Atlantic Ocean. And of course , Portimão and your flat on the top floor of self-catering holiday apartment Vila Arade in Portimao.

Every 4 weeks a very nice flea market -gypsy market takes place in the center of Ferragudo Algarve. Here you will find the most diverse second-hand items that can become your property at very low prices (after negotiation). A Bica (cup of coffee) on one of the terraces on the pleasant village square  with a pastela de nata is delicious. A walk through the narrow streets of old Ferragudo will charm you. The beaches Praia Grande, Pintadinho and Praia dos Caneiros with the famous restaurant Caneiros will delight you. Do book a seat well in advance as this restaurant in Ferragudo Algarve is very popular. B ut, take a taxi boat from the Portimao boulevard to cross the Arade river. Quite an experience.
